Al-Barakah Properties, have organiesed the ongoing four nation Twenty20 tounament in Canada. They have signed a five-year contract wirh Cricket Canada to organise such international tournaments in the country during the summer seasons.The tournament is currently held in King City and involves two high profile teams of Pakistan and Srilanka, who will be playing the finals which is held on Tuesday. The other two teams are Canada and Zimbabwe.
It is a positive step forward for promoting the sport in Canada and we will be inviting the best teamsof the world including Pakistan, India,South Africa depending upon their availability" Imran Khan the chief executive of Al-barakah company said.
The current series is played in Autumn but the organisers are hoping to organise more tournaments when the weather is more favourable for games.
"The ICC has also approved of our future plans and have joined hands with Cricket Canada to promote the game under a long term basis" said Khan. "May through August are the ideal conditions for the game and we will be organising Cricket tounaments in Canada during these months to attract crowds from around the world
