Today could have been the most wonderful day ofcricket history as Sachin was only 15  runs shortto break the world record for must test runs in cricket history. He is a recap of the cricketing day. Brad Haddin attempted to play the very first ball of the day, but he mistimed it and shot it straight to Kumble, who caught it but couldn't hold it in his hands. He hurt his hand in the process and got physio treatment for the same. Sachin Tendulkar approached his half century and was very close to breaking Brian Lara's world record, however he got stuck at 48, and as the clouds hovered over the stadium, he had a word with the umpires about bad light. However he soon played a drive, straight to Michael Clarke at cover only to give Cameron White the first wicketof his career, thereby leaving the ground just 15 runs short of breaking Brian Lara's world record. After bowling four overs, Brett Lee had a go at Virendra Sehwag. His first ball was accurate and produced an edge however Sehwag moved away from his body. Haddin dived to his right, but could'nt get his hands to the ball, which just bounced off his gloves. The miss cost Australia the prized wicket of Virendra Sehwag thereby, reaping upon themselves all pains and no gains.
